Kevin:
I beleive I got it. I downloaded the IBD stocks and then ran a scan. I came up with the same two stocks for Friday that you did.
I'll keep looking over your shoulder for awhile being a newbie to the SF members.
Have a great wk.

Going through the IBD1 list of stocks, a few no longer are at 90 or above - I combined an older list of the top 100 (from 4/8/09) and I'm guessing that by now some of these have fallen by the wayside.
Please remove the following from your IBD1 list:
AAON AAP ACAD ACM AFSI AIPC ALGT AMAC APEI APOL ARQL ASCA ASGR AZO BBBB BCPC BKE CAB CCK CELG CKXE CNC CORE DKS DLB DM DMND ENSG EOC EPIQ ESI EW FCFS FDO FLIC
Will review the other two lists tomorrow - I want to keep these updated at least monthly from now on. I am keeping the cutoff here at 85 for now, until I can add new stocks into the list.
Thanks, Kevin

Ran the scan @ 2PM and it gave me one stock (BGS). Not buying just practicing, was I correct?

Correct. However, BGS announced that they will be selling 9 million shares of common stock in public offering sometime this week. The sudden drop in price is (I guess) related to that. The exact price of the new offering is not known yet, so people are bailing out with what profit they have made already.
Current IBD rating on BGS is 89.
I would guess that the price tomorrow will be lower than the close today. I'll keep an eye on this one, as will you I'm sure!

Well, I did not buy AAP this morning. Probably should have (it opened at $38.92 and is currently at $39.73, a gain of 2% today).
AAP, a member of the IBD top 100 earlier this year, had its rating drop below 85 this week, so I passed.
Even lower ranking stocks seem to do OK using this pullback strategy.
Example - Acorda Therapeutics (ACOR) has an absymal ranking of 17. As a result of not updating the watchlists, I bought this one (you can see it is part of the current open trade portfolio). Good thing though, since it is up almost 10% so far.

BGS up +1.09% in after hours trading. Assuming premarket data is similar, I'm in on this one tomorrow at the open.

Kevin:
Watched UNFI and AAP premarket and thruout the day. They both came out of the gate running higher and never looked back "WOW'' It will be interesting to see what BGS does on Tuesday. Browsed around looking for some more info but found nothing other than what you most likely read already. My guess is it may continue to slide based on the # of shares they are offering against the # of shares outstanding, not sure if that is even relavant. The offering as you know is to pay off some debt coming due in the future. I'm sure I'll pass and wait for another scan, better safe than sorry.
Trade safe,
Gabe

Whittling out the underperforming stocks from the watchlists:
For IBD2, the following stocks should be removed from the list:
NCIT ORLY OTEX POWL ICTG JJSF LWAY NPK SLF SSI SVR SF ICE JCOM SYNA PNRA HANS NSH IDCC LOPE SLGN THOR PZZA SPH SXL SUR MYGN PWR SWS GMTN GVA MTXX
These have fallen below 85 on the IBD composite ranking system. On to IBD3 ...
I think that when I am done here there will be less than 400 symbols, so I'll create only two watchlists, and repost them for everyone to update easily.
