Just some code added to the front of the message that draws a "box" and fills it with a specific color. Looks like this (you need to replace all of the ? symbols with a "less than" symbol instead - using them here so that you can "see" the code rather than the output of the code):
?div style="background-color:black; border: 1px solid black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size:10pt; padding:20px; text-align: left; width: 450px;"> THIS DRAWS A BOX 450 PIXELS WIDE, AND FILLS IT WITH BLACK

STAR, which was sold at a 20% profit (for $25.25 about a month ago) was just acquired for $35 a share.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STAR dipped down to 33.70 today? What do you think.... the deal is for 35 this would seem like easy $$$$
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I agree - not sure why it went down, except that people who were in early on STAR are happily cashing out. Given all the discussion about an impending crash again sometime soon, blah blah, I guess there's some profit-taking going on here?

ACOR up 54.6% to 25.88!!!
Only needs to go the 26.30 to trip the 20% profit stop.

NFLX hit its 20% profit stop ($49.12) this morning.
UPDATE: It also is currently above the upper BB (at $49.55). If it closes there, it would be a sell signal even without the profit stop as an exit (depends on your personal spin on how and when to exit).

Kevin:
News today from Bloomberg radio interview. An analyst who follows ACOR and the industry puts a target of $39.00 on it by end of 2010. No other drug out there today will do what this one is capable of doing safely, safety of the drug was the drug was the FDA concern.
Trade safe,
Gabe

Sounds good, but my exit strategy will probably be executed well before then.
This was actually the first stock purchased using this strategy, back on 8/26. Got up to +15-16% before drifting down then crashing. Glad it is back in the green.
Had I used a stop loss as part of this approach, I would be sitting at -20% on this trade rather than at +12% with more upside to come.

Kevin:
I will post this here with your permission only. I have a long time friend who has a free web site for anyone interested in Bollinger Bands and how to trade within them. Loaded with free educational videos with very accurate Buy & Sell signals
In my opinion and others BB's are the safest form of trading and what you are doing is right on target.
Trade safe,
Gabe

I'm all about shared learning - anything that makes us better traders is cool by me. Go for it.
