Is it just me or with the VIX low the S&P heading to resistance 1400, consumer confidence at record lows, gas at $3.50 this thing is going down in flames? I am out of everyting right now
These are skittish time for the bears. Every time you believe the market is on the verge of death, it would invariably rear its ugly head. When the grim reports come in with very dour outlook, the market decides the turn a blind eye. Even when a company like Microsoft or Apple guides lower, the market doesn't give a damn. What can you expect when ure mama loses her house? The market is a silly bitch, as I'm told.
At any rate, today will be a make-or-break day. If we can't close above 1400, I don't think we ever will for some time to come. I'll leave the rest to ure own imagination.

I am learning that, a lot of what happens with individual stocks is ilogical, but i do understand this is a big day for the market.
It seems to be a lot like golf, if you want to hit a draw you gotta swing out to the right.
Still waiting to jump in

Nightmare Re-habilitated or Re-visited?: Desperate times call for desperate measures as Freddie (as in Mac not Krueger) has been given a get out of jail free card (resurrected from the dead) and is wasting little time ramping up its purchases (terrorizing) to put the taxpayer (innocent bystanders) at risk. "The government-sponsored enterprise said it entered contracts to buy $43.5 billion in loans last month, sharply up from $14.8 billion on February. Its portfolio increased to $712.5 billion in the month from $709.5 billion in February." (Reuters)

JP, nice exit on PSYS.
I shorted the XLF this am off the trendline from 2-27. Employing a tight stop if it reverses. Still in $RUT puts. Lowered stops to Breakeven. Lowered stop on OIH to 203 to protect profits. Certainly I'm in the bearish camp but this market has a lot of bulls left. I hope the dollars rallies some more as US goods will be more expensive and that could trash the market. Either way I will follow the markets and try not to predict.

Hi JP,
Sounds like you live where I like to fish. I'm in Los .Angeles Area. Do you live in Canada? (I see you use the metric system in counting)
My feed should be back up on Monday.
Tyring to be more disciplined with my trades. I have to let my equities have a bit more room though. Not very patient. BTW, I posted a reply to your Canadian Stock Thread. What do you think of EIT.UN. I got a bit spooked when I found out they use leverage.
