....just sold my ofg @ 20$. jp, i have nm and that is starting to move up nicely. i'm thinking of taking a larger position.

i'm been having great succes with an old wall street genius filter. if it ain't broke, i ain't gonna try to fix her. it's really pretty simple, it only pulls up stocks in an uptrend:

(WallStreetGenius)
Show stocks where low is near the bottom linear regression line(60)
And rsi(2) is < 30
And offset 0-days
And average volume(30) is above 100000
And 60-day slope of close is above 0
And close is between 15 and 250
add column RSI(2)
add column Fast Stochastics(14,10)
add column Williams %R(10)

ham1198...nice trade on ofg. I was looking at your filter and comparing it to mine, my entry equivalent would be the first open above the mean line of your regression channel.
NM is attacking 100ema...it looks a bit overbought, you may see a pullback tomorrow. Ya have a good thing going bro...peace.

JP, Good Job. I bot a couple of calls at 455 bofore the close. However, I lost some back on the puts I had on the Ags. I'm done trying to find a top. Those things just won't stop. Did you get out of your CF short yet?

It seems when everybody leans one way get ready to go the other. Goog had a rough couple of days after you bot it. What I liked the candle off support on 4-16. I got to admit that I was nervous on that volume selloff on 4-17. I too was surprised you bot it when you did. It was trying to close the gap from 2-25 and that candle was signaling a top. A win is a win though. By the way I enjoy your posts.

Picked up some JLL and BA on the 18th. Targeting 87 and 82, repectively.

ctrout....It was pure stupidity when I shorted CF, I recognized this mistake and went long. I sold this week at about 151, too parabolic for me. I sold POT about $200, these stocks are now very expensive..pot is about 40X earnings...yikes. I sold my gold on Wednesday during the rally and bought back yesterday after they gapped down. I am still holding lots of TWM...my spider senses tells me we are heading down shortly...cheers.

BA...I heard some negative news on it, Its clearly in a downtrend.
JLL...sentiment is changing on this but I would be very cautious on the financial sector....goodluck on both bro.

I wasn't laughing at you, JP.

I said GOOG was showing NEGATIVE DIVERGENCE.

GOOG went up and you got your chance to take profit. Bully for you.

But, the rest of the story...

Since I posted that, GOOG fell to below $450 meaning NEG DIV proved out once again.

But like I also said. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN and that's why you have to TRADE!

Hope you enjoyed dinner.

JP, With regards to BA and JLL I 'm just a chart guy. PE, Cash Flows, etc. just don't matter as much to those with a short term perspective. I'll sell them both before earnings. BTW, Once I am profitable a few % on a trade (BA, JLL), I move the stop to breakeven as I hate turning a winner into a loser. This way I can buy it back cheaper if I still like it. I am long the SRS (Ultra Short REIT) for a bit longer term play.

I too like to trade the IWM, UWM, and TWM. I have a shorter term horizon than most swing traders. Many times just trade the $RUT and $NDX options based on Fibonacci retracements. Since I am in and out within a few hours to a few days there is little time decay. I Jumped on them right when GOOG reported. Through Interactive Brokers you could trade the index options 15 minutes after the close.

Good luck on the TWM
