As expected, bargain hunters are jumping on the bandwagon en masse.

Question is...assuming the market finishes strong today...will it follow through tomorrow? Hopefully the answer is no for the sake of the SPY put I bought 2 days ago.

LOL. So does that mean the market will tank just because you bought a put 2 days ago or because it closed up for the day (finally!)? In either case, it ain't looking very good at the moment.

LOL. The market should move immediately and substantially in my favor! Seriously though Niko...my time horizon is different than yours. I basically short term trade the SPY off the daily charts and have done quite well. As you very well know it is not unusual to have a day or two go against you. I'm still in the green and my stop hasn't been hit. I don't know how you trade intraday with this type of psychotic volatility.

GLD....still holding...the battle line has been drawn, it will be fun tomorrow. My stop has been tightened...I think it will pop with the market.
Niko...it's guys like yourself and the others on SF that I can thank for being a decent trader. If I can survive as long as you guys have, only then can I call myself a good trader....thanks again and keep up the very entertaining postings.

Lucky you, Max. Nevertheless, we might have another rally tomorrow. But eventually this market will retest the January low, so hang in there.
As you may know, I'm a daytrader to the core. It's crazy day like today that enables me to make serious money. Having said that, I'm pretty comfortable flipping trades from long to short and vice versa as you would with flipping pancakes and I also feel pretty good about detecting trend reversals. But, truth be told, it wasn't always like this. Ironic as it may sound, I was made whole only after swimming in the gutter for many years. I'm of the opinion that losses can only make you a stronger, if not better, trader.
Johnpaul, thanks for the compliment. I equally enjoy ure comments. It's okay to have different perspective on things. That's what makes it even more alluring, ain't it? And speaking of survival, we're all in the same raft. Just don't rock it too much. lol

I hear ya bro. One of the most critical decisions you can make is to find your comfort zone in terms of what time frame you'll trade. I learned a long time ago I was not cut out for intraday trading because I could not be decisive enough in such compressed time frames. I'm glad you're succeeding and like Johnpaulca thank you for your contributions to these forums.

Nice swing. MTL is making a nice IHS formation here, which should bode well as a continuation pattern.
I think we've hit the intraday bottom for the time being and should cruise higher.
